Summer has always been about staying up late and sleeping in the next day. These days though, I’m happy to be up early in the morning. There’s really so much promise and excitement contained in mornings. This photo was taken by surprise. I was up and eager to get hold of a magazine downstairs. On my way to the sala, I could see this through the window. Seconds later, I was panting with the camera in hand, worried about  losing the night completely.

This was taken after surgery. I managed to convince the intern to take photos of the procedure for me. The rest are gory and perfect for people studying to become doctors. I’m struggling against posting it because it seems much too personal to be aired here. But anyway, this one was cool.

I think this photo aptly shows everything I love about summer in this city. The days are always long and the sun is wont to stay rather than go. In the meantime, the city picks up a rhythm and instinctively, while looking at this photo, I tap my feet at the beat of this town.

There’s more where this came from. It was sunny out and these guys were crawling about town. Thank God for macro modes and the sunshine!

UST is epic. Walking around the campus gives me goosebumps. Everything comes alive and when you spot these icons on their roofs and seemingly abandoned spaces, there’s this time-warped feeling that makes you relish the fact that these monuments exist.

Aptly though, I felt like a sinner stealing glimpses of these guys from below.

Unreal,  surreal.

My knees were shaking when I took this. I don’t do heights very well but I’ve always wondered what flying through cities would be like. This is the closest I’ve been to flying and luckily, my knees held up their end of the bargain.

It rained. The sun was out and the world was wet. But the sky looked like clay to me.

I know it’s been a while but…here’s what I’ve been seeing.

Beautiful space.

I normally shoot on Aperture Priority just to get the hang of the different openings but lately, I’ve switched buttons just to see what else the camera can do. This is the LX3 pretending to be a pinhole.
